Our History The Juvenile Impacted Family Engagement Program (JIFEP) was created in 2017, to support the unique and distinct needs of caregivers navigating the juvenile justice system alongside their youth, from station house adjustments to those in detention. Taking the lead from the CCFSO, our JIFEP Family Support Partners were able to provide empathetic, peer to peer support, education, and advocacy. Workshops, parent education, parent support groups and professional education events have been developed and shared and deep, long term community connections have been made with professionals at all levels within the Camden County juvenile justice system. The JIFEP was able to successfully connect families with youth in detention or out of home placements by providing transportation. JIFEP has been an integral part of supporting family voice “at the table”, assisting over 2,500 families to date. We continue to grow the JJFEP to include more personalized, direct support to families of detained youth, the youth themselves, younger siblings as well as the community, fully wrapping the family with support.
